ABOUT THE EVENT
Come enjoy a spring concert featuring the artistry of NAVOs musicians as we offer a new take on the traditional genres of the piano trio, piano quartet, string quintet, and piano sextet! The concert will open with Jennifer Higdon’s brilliant Dark Wood which mimics the Piano Quartet, but replaces the viola with the iconic and brooding sound of the bassoon. Two works for clarinet and strings will follow including Piazzolla’s Oblivion providing (a new twist on the conventional piano trio) and Hannah Kendall’s Vera. Miguel del Aguila’s Malambo provides another take on the traditional string quintet (i.e. Schubert C Major Cello Quintet.), while Seyfried Sheridan’s Sextet, which adds the soaring virtuosity of the clarinet to the traditional instrumentation of the piano sextet will conclude the concert in rousing fashion.

Venue and Parking
Atonement Lutheran Church Elca hosts numerous concert organizations and ensembles, and presents hundreds of concerts every year. NAVO is proud to call ALC its home. Designed by Shaughnessy Fickel and Scott Architects, a modern language invigorated by light underlies the design of the interior space that unfolds as one enters and experiences it (Crosbie, 2003).
As is with the interior of the church, the parking is plentiful. It's available all around the building. No matter at what time you arrive at the church, you have no challenges finding a spot for your car.
